Cosmic Fish – from SMTH Shapes:

The Cosmic Fish Twin is a homage to the original Southern California Fish design that stole many hearts in the early ’70s. 

 We’ve seen many different versions emerging over the decades bringing a lot of hype because of their fun, versatility, and performance in both small or head high wave conditions.

Jordy enjoyed mixing up a few designs and we tuned the outline plane shape to carry good volume upfront with a wider nose and wide-point just forward of center. These subtle changes make it very versatile in slop or good waves and combined with reduced width and straighter outline in the tail making it fast! 

The bottom contour consists of a single concave flowing into a strong deep double concave. This design setup allows maximum release, increasing smooth transitions in and out of turns.  

Jordy wanted looseness as well as control when performing power turns or tight arcs in the pocket so we flattened the bottom rocker curve slightly and gave it a tail-flip to fit in the pocket better for stability in punchy beaches.
